How to build a wardrobe that actually works and provides style that last
Building a wardrobe that truly works is about making conscious choices that stand the test of time and simplify everyday life. With the right color palette, materials, and fit, you create a well-thought-out base that makes it easier to dress consistently and develop a personal style that endures, year after year.

When the foundation consists of thoughtful, timeless choices, it becomes easier to dress regardless of the day, season, or occasion.
Here are some principles we ourselves base our choices on:
1. The color palette plays a bigger role than one might think. Navy blue, black, white, gray and beige create a palette that endures through all the months of the year and allows the garments to be effortlessly combined.
2. Choose materials that withstand everyday life and repeated use: merino wool, cotton, denim, and quality outer fabrics are as reliable as they are pleasant to wear. Avoid unnecessary washing and instead opt to air out your garments when possible to make them last longer.
3. The fit is the next cornerstone. When the silhouettes are well thought out and recur consistently, the wardrobe becomes more cohesive and easier to navigate. This also makes the layers more intuitive to use. A shirt, a knitted sweater, and an outer garment can together create a variety of looks, provided that they are chosen with the same logic in mind.
When the building blocks are right and you add personal details like a vintage watch or other accessories, the whole usually falls into place. It's about making the wardrobe more thoughtful rather than feeling restricted by its smaller scope. When done right, you often find the key to a style that lasts, year after year.
