The design is inspired by both the coat of arms of Enzo Ferrari's hometown of Modena and the yellow colour of the Scuderia Ferrari emblem - a colour that symbolises Ferrari's second soul. On the cone, the dates of Enzo Ferrari's birth and his first victory are engraved, while the signature and the name of his father's workshop, Officina Meccanica Alfredo Ferrari, appear on the top of the cork. The top of the pen features the Montblanc emblem in blue resin - a tribute to the coat of arms of the city of Modena - surrounded by metal inlays reminiscent of a classic car grille.
