Choosing the Right Size

Trousers (except Jeans and chinos), Shorts & Underwear 

A: Waist (cm)
Place the garment on a flat surface, measure the width at the waist and multiply by two.

B: Inside leg (cm)
Measure the inner length of the garment from the crotch seam to the hem.

C: Thigh (cm)
Measure the width from the inside leg to the outside leg, three centimetres below the crotch seam. Multiply by two.

D: Bottom leg (cm)
Place the garment on a flat surface, measure the width of the leg opening and multiply by two. The relative size of the bottom leg is usually assessed using size W32L32 (inches) or 48 (EU).

Jeans & Chinos

A: Waist (cm)
Place the garment on a flat surface, measure the width at the waist and multiply by two.

B: Inside leg (cm)
Measure the inner length of the garment from the crotch seam to the hem.

C: Thigh (cm)
Measure the width from the inside leg to the outside leg, three centimetres below the crotch seam. Multiply by two.

D: Knee (cm)
Measure the width from the inside leg to the outside leg, 33 centimetres below the crotch seam. Multiply by two.

E: Bottom leg (cm)
Measure the width at the leg opening and multiply by two.

Please note that sizes may vary slightly depending on the wash and materials used.

Jumpers, Jackets, T-Shirts & Polo Shirts

A: Sleeve length (cm)
Measure the length of the sleeve from the seam at the armpit to the bottom of the cuff.

B: Chest (cm)
Place the garment on a flat surface. Measure the width from armpit to armpit and multiply by two.

C: Bottom hem (cm)
Place the garment on a flat surface, measure the width at the very bottom of the garment. Multiply by two.

D: Length (cm)
Measure from the shoulder to the very bottom of the garment.

Blazers & Overcoats
A: Sleeve length (cm)
Measure the sleeve from the armpit seam to the bottom of the cuff.

B: Chest (cm)
Place the garment on a flat surface. Measure the width from armpit to armpit and multiply by two.

C: Waist (cm)
Place the garment on a flat surface. Measure the width from edge to edge at its narrowest point (usually around the navel) and multiply by two.

D: Length (cm)
Measure the length from the lower part of the neck to the very bottom of the garment.

E: Shoulder width (cm)
Place the garment facing downwards on a flat surface and measure the distance between the two shoulder seams.

A: Sleeve length (cm)
Measure the length from the collar seam at the neck to the very bottom of the cuff along the outermost side of the sleeve.

B: Chest (cm)
Place the garment on a flat surface. Measure the distance from armpit to armpit and multiply by two.

C: Waist (cm)
Place the garment on a flat surface. Measure the width from edge to edge at its narrowest point around the waist. Multiply by two.

D: Length (cm)
Measure the length from the middle of the collar seam to the very bottom of the garment.

Belts

A: Minimum length (cm)
Measure the length from the outermost part of the buckle to the innermost hole.

B: Maximum length (cm)
Measure the length from the outermost part of the buckle to the outermost hole.

C: Total strap length (cm)
Measure the length from the point where the strap meets the buckle to the outermost point of the strap.

Gloves

A: Length (longest finger to hem, cm)
Measure the length from the top of the middle finger to the very bottom of the glove.

B: Width (little finger to index finger, cm)
Measure the width across the knuckle from the bottom of the little finger to the innermost side of the thumb – the widest point on the glove.

A: Frame width (cm)
Measure the front of the sunglasses across the top.

B: Sidepiece length (cm)
Measure from the hinge to the outermost point of the earpiece.

C: Bridge (cm)
Measure the distance between the lenses.

D: Lens height (cm)
Measure the height at the middle of the lens.

E: Lens width (cm)
Measure the width at the middle of the lens.
