Cillian Murphy (Oppenheimer) in Atelier Versace

This is not something that subsided after the film. Gala night after gala night, Murphy has continued the beaten path of wearing classic, stylish outfits from brands like Zegna and Saint Laurent. Most recently at the Oscars, where he was awarded Best Male Actor, he wore a tuxedo signed by Atelier Versace, featuring a vintage tweed and wool fabric from the fashion house's historical archives. High-waisted trousers with a belt and a Tiffany & Co brooch depicting the atomic bomb in miniature format was a stylish and understated touch. The patent leather boots with a patented 4 cm heel were also a daring choice of shoe, instead of going towards a more conservative choice in a pair of leather shoes, pumps or loafers. On his wrist, we saw a well-matched Omega (De Ville Prestige), which goes hand in hand with Cillian Murphy's aura and elegance.
Robert Downey Jr (Oppenheimer) in Saint Laurent

We continue with a real legend of the art. The charismatic Robert Downey Jr gave perhaps one of the best performances of his life in Oppenheimer, where he as Lewis Strauss opposed Cillian Murphy's character to the end. Off the screen, you can never predict what he will appear wear. It could be purple suits, a pair of Jordans, or even his own interpretation of German folk costumes on gala nights. This time, both Robert Downey Jr. and his stylist Erica Cloud hit the nail on the head with, in our opinion, one of the best styles of the entire evening: the fit, structure and not least the wide, flared trousers. There were many during the evening who had a similar idea when it came to the current 70s trouser fashion, but no one pulled it off as well as Robert Downey Jr. On his wrist, we saw a Jaeger-LeCoulte (Reverso Tribute Chronograph) and the frames were by French Jacque Marie Mage. Like Cillian Murphy, the brooch was a recurring accessory this gala and the Bolon (Bole-tie) is a western detail that really works here. It neither takes over nor becomes redundant. In the absence of the bow tie or the tie, this was a neat way to put the finishing touches.
Ke Huy Quan in Giorgio Armani

American actor Ke Huy Quan may not have been as visible as the above mentioned in the general public recently. On the other hand, he has a solid career behind him, an Oscar award from last year's edition, where he won the award for best supporting actor in the film Everthing Everywhere, All at Once and is currently starring in the film With Love, which is released next year. For this edition of the Oscars, he acted as award presenter in a very tasteful burgundy double-breasted Giorgio Armani tuxedo. The fit, which is slightly slimmer, suits perfectly on Ke Huy Quan. Details in the form of Oliver Peoples glasses with red and orange lenses and a Cartier Santos-Dumont (Skeleton Micro-Rotor) on the wrist. An underrated look on the evening, but also one of the absolute best.
