About Grand
Grand Seiko was born in 1960 as Seiko's answer to a single question: how good can a watch actually be? The aim was to build the most accurate, most durable and most beautiful wristwatch in the world, and the models have been refined ever since with the uncompromising rigour of Japanese craft. The hallmarks are the Zaratsu-polished case with its mirror-bright, sharply faceted surfaces, dials drawn from Japanese nature and a finish that stands comparison with any Swiss house.
Grand Seiko builds mechanical movements as well as high-precision quartz and the in-house Spring Drive technology. Since 2017 Grand Seiko has been an independent brand – and among connoisseurs one of the most respected names in watchmaking.
