About Precision
Rolex Precision is a term most commonly associated with the legendary Rolex 6694 reference, but Rolex Precision is actually the collective name for a group of watches that were once produced as "entry-level" models in the Rolex range. Very briefly summarised, these watches were not officially certified chronometers by COSC, not because they did not meet the requirements, but because they simply did not apply for the certification for the model. Hence, the proprietary name "Precision".
Rolex watches that have the name Precision on the dial are Oysterdate and Oyster Precision. The only difference between these is that the Oyster Precision has no date, as the main focus would be on the time indication. As a curiosity, you can also find the name Precision on the model Rolex Air King.
