      IWC was founded in 1868 in Schaffhausen by the American engineer Florentino Aristo Jones. The company was one of the first to introduce mechanised and industrialised watch production.   • About Le Petit Steel

      IWC Le Petit Prince launched in 2013, but long before that IWC had been working closely with the Foundation Antoine de Saint Exupéry in various forms. The first IWC Le Petit Prince watch dedicated to Saint Exupéry was a pilot chronograph, ref.IW3717, which released in 2006. The first model in the dedicated IWC Le Petit Prince collection based on the basic model Mark XVII time-only pilot's watch and received the reference number IW326506.

      The collection's characteristic blue sunburst dials the stylised star on the second hand and the engraved Petit Prince on the case back made the watches an instant success. This first release made in a limited edition of 1000 watches to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the story of Le Petit Prince.
