Fred Perry

The first British brand to combine sport and fashion, Fred Perry is behind some of the most iconic clothing of recent decades. The label was established in the late 1940s by the internationally successful tennis player with whom it shares its name.

In 1952, the brand launched what is perhaps its most iconic model – a polo shirt adorned with an embroidered laurel wreath on the chest, the same symbol that decorated its founder’s gold medal from Wimbledon. This timeless design proved to be incredibly popular and has been the choice of numerous subcultures including mods and soul boys.
