Etro is in many ways synonymous with the paisley pattern, which is still regularly featured in the brand's collections. In 1986, Gerolamo "Gimmo" Etro founded the eponymous family business in Milan, Italy. Today, Etro has been passed to Gimmio's four children, who share their father's belief that clothing should be seen as art rather than an expression of personal style.
