Ralph Lauren releases their spring collection inspired by the American West Coast: California Dreaming, which includes Polo, Double RL and Purple Label.
Ralph Lauren himself about the collection: “For the first time ever, I bring my dream of living here; sharing my worlds in an experience that celebrates a way of life I have always believed in – a mix of grit and glamour, energy and inspiration”.
We have selected some highlights from the collection, where we place extra focus on light, subtle colours in beige and brown as a consistent theme. The fashion show highlights the perfect combination of California's rugged coasts and Hollywood's red carpet.
Western American Heritage
The catwalk opens with Double RL's western-inspired collection, tastefully paired with country music played in the background. Denim, leather belts and chunky layers in the form of coarse knit cardigans mark the collection, which is steeped in classic American Western style.
Several well-known faces who are also friends of the brand can be seen on the red carpet. With names such as Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez, Angus Cloud, Chris Pine, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Sylvester Stallone, John Legend, Polo G, Diane Keaton and many more.

Subtle tones
In the Purple Label collection, we particularly notice earthy colours in shades of beige, brown and white. A stylish and timeless touch where the monochrome colours are combined with a subtle touch of tone-in-tone, which gives an inviting feeling of spring and brighter times. According to Ralph Lauren, the collection is one of the brand's most iconic catwalks in modern times and is strongly marked by what they want to strive for: "The Most Iconic American Luxury Lifestyle Brand in the World".
