First launched in 2007, Monocle Magazine provides an international perspective on such topics as current affairs, culture, design, and much more. The publication aims to offer its global readership the chance to look beyond their national borders. In 2013, Monocle expanded into the world of books, including a series of travel guides for more than 35 of the world’s most fascinating cities.

In 2020, Monocle began offering its own editions together with publishing house Thames & Hudson. The first fruits of this collaboration include The Monocle Book of Japan, The Monocle Guide to Gentle Living and The Monocle Book of Italy.
