About Picotin
The Picotin from Hermès was introduced in the early 2000s and draws its inspiration from the traditional feed buckets used in the equestrian world – a heritage deeply rooted in the house’s history. The bag is defined by its minimalist bucket shape, open top with a strap, and the iconic padlock.
The model is produced in several sizes, with 18, 22, and 26 being the most common. It is most often crafted from soft and supple Taurillon Clemence leather, giving the bag its relaxed yet refined character.
Today, the Picotin is regarded as one of Hermès’ most discreet expressions of luxury – a bag that unites the house’s equestrian craftsmanship with a modern sense of understated elegance.
