The Classic Double Flap Bag was launched by Karl Lagerfeld in the 1980s as a modern reinterpretation of Coco Chanel’s original 2.55 design from 1955. With its iconic CC lock, quilted exterior, and leather-woven chain strap, the model quickly became a symbol of timeless elegance.
The bag is available in sizes Mini, Small, Medium, Jumbo, and Maxi. It is produced in a variety of leathers, most commonly lambskin for its soft and smooth texture, and Caviar – a grained and durable version of embossed calfskin. The model is also occasionally made in seasonal materials such as tweed or textile.
